Agridera was founded in 1952 by eight farmers' families from the town of Gedera in Israel as a vegetables seeds producing company. It was primarily called Zeraim gedera - http://www.zeraim.com/

 

Later on the company developed its' own breeding programs – of vegetables and open field crops and flowers as well as expanded its' core of activity from local market to an important player all around the world.

 

The vegetables line comprise of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, melons etc., and the open field crops include wheat, cotton, clover and others.

 

An additional activity is flowers seeds breeding and production with the ornamental sunflower range as the principal crop.

 

Today the hybrid vegetable seeds section is separated – Zeraim Gedera was purchased and is today part of the Syngenta group - http://www.syngenta.com/

 

Agridera is today a fully independent company with its' own breeding programs, production facilities and marketing & sales force.

 

Since its' foundation, Agridera keeps tight relationships with Israel's leading research expertises – The Hebrew University's Faculty of Agriculture, The Weismann Institute, The Technion technological institute, The Volcani Institute.

 

Thanks to these cooperations, Agridera LTD always stays tuned to new developments in academic and applicable research such as resistances to diseases, quality parameters improvements and shelf life prolongement. All of this is done utilizing responsible and conventional breeding methods.

 

Also today Agridera LTD continues to invest heavily in research and development in order to offer its' customers new horizons.

 

The company's objective was, and still is, to be an innovator of novel varieties and a relaible supplier of top quality seeds around the world.

 

To allow the best results, the Agridera LTD seeds are rigorously monitored during all production stages, from sowing till packaging by an expert control team.

 

All production fields are inspected by the ministry of Agriculture plant protection staff to guarantee that the seeds follow the required quality and plant health standards.
